Link building is an essential part of SEO. Having a constant stream of new links on each site’s page brings a beneficial impact on your SEO results. This is because links are good indicator of the site’s popularity and one of the ranking factors set by search engine giants. On one hand, this does not mean that any kind of link will do. Search engines acknowledge whether your links are relevant or of good quality.
Relevance is vital when it comes to link building. This means that the linking page should be similar or with the same topic with your own page. It’s not an easy task to find and establish a link on a similar page but the web space is consists of a massive crowd, never settle for less. Once you had found a perfectly related site, you can contact the owner and ask if he’s interested to exchange links. Remember, links from a relevant authority site is always considered valuable by search engine algorithms.
The anchor text used also plays an important role on effective link building. It should also show relevance. There are blogs that allow keywords on the anchor text via Keywordluv plugin. Most forums allow signature links as per policy so take the opportunity to use a relevant keyword when you get a chance.
A lot have been said about the rules of link building especially about quality vs quantity of incoming links. In general, acquiring few high quality links is more likely to be beneficial than gathering thousands of irrelevant low quality backlinks. Looking at the bigger picture will make you realize that the time spent getting those thousands of irrelevant links should have been spent on creating content for your site. Well, so much for the so called, “strategy”.
To conclude, link relevancy weighs significantly in terms of search engine optimization. Consider finding relevant links as one of the most challenging but rewarding task in search engine optimization.

A web browser has a vital role for every individual who uses the internet, most especially for seo inclined individuals. Like every job, search engine optimization requires tools to make the job easier. Basically, some browsers allow easy tool accessibility that serve a lot of purpose in search engine optimization. However, there are more to this that defines a browser’s reliability. Generally, it all depends on what you need and what the browser offers.
Firefox. This has been one of the original and most use free Internet browsers of both seo and regular internet users. A few outstanding features include tabbed browsing, an integrated search engine and many add–ons of all types.
Firefox 3.6, the latest version of the browser allows you to personally design the browser and make it your own through personas. There are over 35,000 personas available for free in the Firefox database. I’ve used the old version but the main disappointment I found was its speed. However, with the new version available I could say that Firefox 3.6 is the fastest Firefox there is. This made me consider Firefox again.
Chrome. Google’s streamlined and speedy browser offers strong integrated search and an intriguing alternative to Firefox and Internet Explorer. Google Chrome takes a unique approach to browsing the web, combining top notch features with speed, compatibility, and simplicity. I’ve been using Chrome for 5 months now and one thing I enjoy about it is its speed.
Chrome got the first idea of browser’s personalization. If Firefox got personas, Chrome has themes. During its initial release, the main weakness that chrome has is its inability to add plug-ins and tools. But after receiving a lot of inquiries, Google provided a solution through Google extensions. Now I could say that Chrome has redeemed itself and got back in the race.
Internet Explorer. This web browser outperforms its ancestors with tighter security, private browsing and a clean look. Version 8 provides variety of add–ons for security, time savers, browsers and entertainment purposes. It also incorporates tabbed browsing, integrated search window and private browsing mode—that prevents your computer from picking up temporary Internet files, form data, cookies, usernames, and passwords. Internet Explorer is a good browser with great features. Additional features in version 8 make it even better and definitely worth your consideration.

Google has officially announced that site speed is included in their ranking qualifications.
According to the statement posted on the legitimate Google blog, “You may have heard that here at Google we’re obsessed with speed, in our products and on the web. As part of that effort, today we’re including a new signal in our search ranking algorithms: site speed. Site speed reflects how quickly a website responds to web requests”
We all can’t deny how obsess Google is in terms of service development and it all makes sense to include the site’s speed as one of Google’s ranking factors. Besides, it is one of the things that define user experience. Just like what they have mentioned in their site, “Faster sites create happy users and we’ve seen in our internal studies that when a site responds slowly, visitors spend less time there. But faster sites don’t just improve user experience; recent data shows that improving site speed also reduces operating costs”. In this case, it is eventually a win-win situation for both Google and their users.
Although they have formally included speed with their ranking factor, the search engine giant assured that it doesn’t carry as much weight as the relevance of a page. The company says that less than one percent of search queries have been affected by the change.
This is another good example of how Google create changes towards an efficient and convenient internet environment.

When we are new to something, we often feel reluctant to step out and do our own thing. On the contrary, others feel the opposite way. Nonetheless, reluctant or not we must know what we are up to in order to avoid any grave misconduct.
There is no official rulebook for social bookmarking, but the mere presence of the administrators and moderators means that there are policies and guidelines that maintain the order around the social web space. Perhaps, it won’t hurt you to learn few reminders before you join a certain social bookmarking community. Check out some general guidelines that apply to most social bookmarking sites.
Just like anywhere else, treat people like how you wanted to be treated. Social bookmarking involves conversation through comments and its best to be nice in order to gather friends that will help you establish your social media presence. FYI, you need people to digg, retweet or vote your content so being quiet or rude won’t do any help.
Submit variety of websites in a regular basis. It is understood that you want to concentrate with your niche but touching neighboring topics would help you offer something new. Social bookmarking sites work due to the wide selection of amazing and interesting stuff that people submit. It will also help you look more natural and not a marketer if you do it so.
Be sure to submit website to the right category. It is common sense to put things in the right place so people who actually interested will eventually find it.
Don’t be limited to one social bookmarking site. There are literally thousands of networks in the web, joining a couple of known social media sites will help you broaden your reach.
Use tags correctly. Help people find your site by putting tags on it. You know how search engines work so make your site accessible.
Be generous and helpful with your friends. Initiate voting and retweeting your friend’s submission and most likely they’ll do the same for you. It might be an old saying but “give in order to receive” still works in the modern times.
Be human and personal. It’s best not to use automatic submission services. Take the word “social” seriously.
One more thing for impatient people out there, social bookmarking does not work over night, it takes time, hard work and patience. So better condition yourself earlier for a great chance to achieve your goal.

We have been used to see Google on our everyday web searches, be it on desktops, netbooks, and mobile devices. As the web space get bigger, Google known as the search giant, continuously launch and introduce innovations and upgrades to serve users on a higher level. I guess there is no reason to be surprised at all, if Google decided to step into another level and get into one of our favorite entertainment medium, the TV.
According to The Wall Street Journal, Google is testing a new television programming search service in conjunction with Dish Network.
The current testing targets to incorporate the Internet content with the traditional TV. Just to have an idea how would it look like, it would run on TV set-top boxes that are attached to the Internet and use Google application. Basically, it will enable users to create personalize lineups of shows from the satellite-TV and You tube or with other video hosting websites.
No doubt, once Google is done with their new project, it will definitely change our TV viewing experiences. Now, I’m thinking about the next thing they’re going to try.

Traffic online is definitely the kind of traffic that we all desire unless it makes you happy to stay in car on the street under massive UV rays attack. Well, at least for internet marketers the volume of visitors reaching their site makes big sense. One way of pulling traffic on your site is through forum posting. Basically, you go to forums related to your niche then join the community, interact with people, build relationship and establish a good reputation. It sounds pretty easy and it is indeed, but you have to master the forum etiquettes. Yes, there are etiquettes and I think it applies to everything that you do online.
Initially, you should familiarize yourself about the rules and regulations of the forum and posting. Each forum has it; some are general like no spamming, no cursing, trashes and stuffs. Others are so strict, you just missed something and before you know it, you’re banned. Pity those who only have static IP address.
So you read the rules and got oriented. Ideally, before you can start posting, you have to introduce your self politely like all newbie does. Tell something about yourself or about expectations on the new community you are joining, just don’t leave the thread empty. It’s also nice to fix your profile and add an image.
You might be feeling excited to dive in and start new topics. But be certain that there are no threads similar to yours; spend few minutes to search whether there is existing thread to avoid duplicates. Same goes with double posting, be careful not to hit the submit button multiple times. Initiate meaningful topics and act in a give and take manner. It’ll be beneficial if you help often, so you can establish a good reputation in the community.
Use proper grammar and spelling. You definitely don’t want to have a misunderstanding regarding what you are saying. For sure, you would encounter some personal differences on opinions and insights. Just stay civil and handle those differences smartly. I remember a phrase from a movie I watched, “when you get mad you loose”.
It is important that you add your signature on every post. This could count as backlink to your site. However, every forum has a rule about links; make sure that you check the requirements before putting a site link. I bet you don’t want to be misinterpreted as a spammer. Some forums require a number of post before you can add links or signatures. Others require weeks or months of being a member. This is crucial and if you ignore this rule you can instantly get banned by the forum administrator.
As how the real community goes, forum gives you a chance to meet people with the same interest like yours. This can increase the chance of your site’s exposure to your targeted audience. Be certain that you showcase your worth through your words, those could be the key to your goal.

Radios and TVs help artist to get exposure and let people know about what they got. It’s indispensable, a new artist or product comes close to consumers. In the long run once they have established their worth, people will look towards them.
This goes the same way with your content. Come close to your audience, especially the ones you target. Submit press release article to PR sites, article to Article Directories and Social Bookmarking sites. Huge percentage of population use search engines to get necessary information they need from the internet. Basically, these people want to have the things they need pin pointed among the massive data available on the net. They enter their keywords in the search box then see the search results presented by their search engine of choice. Hardly anyone knows your domain, they are unfamiliar but they would know that you are what they are looking for just looking at your snippet.
Back in early 2006, Google introduced the snippet— this is 2-line, approximately 150 to 200 (depending on what search engine you target) character summary that goes along with the link to the website page. This is descriptive summary of what the page is all about to guide users as to what website they will visit to get what they are looking for. It’s like a preview of what the user is going to expect with the site’s content.
Snippet is made through meta description tags. The tag is intended to be a brief rundown of the page’s content. It is made to display targeted keywords, not for ranking purposes, but to indicate the content to searchers. If the title is too vague for the visitors, the snippet will clarify and elaborate things out. If you don’t intentionally put meta description tags, search engines will automatically pull out content from the page and sometimes it ends up looking weird.
Here’s the HTML tag to apply:
< meta name=”description” content=”A description of the page” />
